We have 6 million chained dogs in the U.S. – Interview with Tamira from Dogs Deserve Better the Pioneer of the anti-chaining movement

Tamira Ci Thayne – The Godmother of Anti-Tethering, a passionate activist and advocate, an author of two books founded Dogs Deserve Better in 2002 to educate people and inform about the issue of chained and penned dogs. She works hard toward appropriate legislation, speaks in front of communities and provides very informative materials on her website about the problem of chained and tethered dogs. After having seen dogs chained up 24/7 without socialization, mostly under bad conditions and sometimes without shelter and isolated from their families – she knew she had to take action.

Along with dispelling any myths that these dog are enjoying their outdoor environments, this interview will better inform you to help the chained dogs in your community and will shed light on which laws will help chained and penned dogs.

We’re quite honored to feature Tamira Ci Thayne, the “The Peaceful Dog Warrior”.

This page is viewed by many hard working, honest and reputable rescues… Thank you for all that you do… BUT this post is by the former Dogs Deserve Better national rescue coordinator. AND it should infuriate all of you… Please take the time to read… There is so much damning evidence against the Founder/CEO of DDB. Bring Joel Home will continue to help expose the illegal, immoral and unethical practices of DDB and it’s so-called leadership.

Pack people, the crazies are trying to hijack your article. This woman was denied an adoption application and she has a handful of loons trying to spread lies about rescue groups. These people are pro dog chaining and against animal Rescuers. they are evil and will stop at nothing to harm rescue groups.

All the comments to date are made by Dr. Fiala and her minions who has obsessively stalked and disparaged Tamira Thayne and Dogs Deserve Better in every way possible. Fiala started a page on facebook called Bring Joel Home. The sole purpose was and is to create stories that cast Tamira as an evil woman and Dogs Deserve Better as an evil enterprise. In the first comment the poster registered as Barbara Bassett. I know Barbara personally and she did not post this comment. However, the link referred to is commonly used by Fiala and her followers, time after time after time on the Bring Joel Home facebook page. At the time this fake Barbara Bassett made this above contribution, the real Barbara Bassett was actively engaged on facebook confronting the Bring Home Joel crew, Fiala and more importantly, Shannon Allen who jumped ship from being a Dogs Deserve Better/Tamira Thayne supporter to applying her obsessive compulsive gifts in a vendetta specifically against Barbara without an iota of moral thought. Apparently to such a degree that Barbara’s name was hijacked and used as if to represent her identity, which is simply identity theft and libel. This action is the lowest of the low.
