Holli Pfau, a truly gifted writer and avid golden retriever lover, recounts the joys, challenges, and rewards of sharing her life with six rescued golden retrievers, each with a distinct personality that offers genuine love. One by one, Holli introduces readers to these remarkable dogs, from the wise Nikki to the abused but loving and energetic Chatter.
Holli’s new book, Pure Gold, is a tribute to her 6 rescued Golden Retrievers and the riches they brought to her life. Co-founder of a nationally recognized hospital program of animal-assisted therapy, Holli says her rescued and second-hand dogs have indelibly touched her life. Now she has made it her mission in life to support the efforts of those who save discarded dogs and help them find forever homes.
We had the terrific pleasure of talking to Holli last week on the phone. She shared with us her adventures, joys and challenges and insights into the world of agility as well as her innovative, effective hospital program.
